Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Primary Teacher to join our supportive and nurturing school environment in Islington, North London. As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students aged 10-11 and preparing them for their upcoming SATs exams.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a lovely team of teachers to promote teamwork and cultivate a conducive learning environment. You will teach the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths and improving their weaknesses.

You will also keep track of children's progress and occasionally report back to parents. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent academic results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2
  • Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children
  • Keeping track of children's progress and reporting back to parents

Requirements:

  • A qualified teacher status (QTS) PGCE or equivalent
  • Experience in teaching Year 6 students and preparing them for SATs exams
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent academic results
  • A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment methodologies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Patience, resilience, and a passion for teaching

About the Role:

This is a permanent contract opportunity in a one-form entry school in Islington, North London. The school has a Good Ofsted rating and is easily accessible by public transport. We are happy to consider applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs.

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience
