Cover Supervisor

Job Summary: GSL Education is seeking a dynamic and proactive Cover Supervisor to work in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the classroom environment, ensuring students remain on task and continue their learning during the absence of their regular teacher.
- Deliver pre-set work left by the teacher, providing constructive feedback and support to students as needed.
- Assist students with their work, maintaining a constructive learning environment and managing classroom behavior.
- Maintain classroom resources and records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role or strong educational background, with a focus on classroom management and student support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other school staff.
- Ability to manage groups of students, enforce discipline, and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Safeguarding and Child Protection: This role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures. Successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS on the update service or completing an application for a new check.
