About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Sous Chef to join our team at The Lodge at Solent. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for managing a section in the kitchen, producing high-quality food from scratch, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. ">
  2. Manage a section in the kitchen, including planning and executing menu items, maintaining quality control, and motivating your team">
  3. Work closely with the Head Chef to develop new menu ideas and improve existing dishes">
  4. Maintain accurate records of stock levels, inventory, and waste management">
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction">
  6. Develop and implement strategies to reduce waste and increase efficiency in the kitchen">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record of success in a similar role, with a strong background in kitchen management and leadership">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team">
  • A deep understanding of food safety protocols and regulations">
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment">
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays">

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000-£55,000 per annum, negotiable dependent on experience. Additionally, you will receive Wagestream, allowing you to access up to 40% of your wages as you earn them each week.
