As part of VolkerWessels UK, a multidisciplinary contractor renowned for delivering innovative engineering solutions across various sectors, we offer a dynamic and rewarding work environment.
Your RoleYou will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our workforce by facilitating compliance with legislative, corporate, and other relevant health and safety requirements. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Assisting in the coordination of all activities related to the implementation, development, and maintenance of Safety Management Systems (SMS) for VolkerFitzpatrick.
- Promoting a culture of safety awareness and best practices throughout the project.
- Conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Providing training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures and regulations.
- Investigating accidents and incidents, preparing reports, and recommending preventative actions.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health & Safety professional with:
- A NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent qualification.
- CSCS card holder status.
- A comprehensive understanding of BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and experience facilitating registration surveillance visits.
- In-depth knowledge of current and impending health & safety legislation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and IT skills.
- Proven ability to train and educate individuals at all levels within an organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships internally and externally.
