Electrical Control Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to join Maintech Recruitment as an Automation Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of machinery and equipment.
- Hands-on technical support for instrumentation and electrical control applications
- Responsible for program updates and documentation management
- Analyse and implement required upgrades or projects
- Support maintenance teams and assist in shut-downs and investment projects
- Monitor and modify PLC and DCS control logic
- Troubleshoot PLC, DCS and relay control systems
- Participate in the emergency on-call roster
- Foster safe working principles throughout the plant
Maintech Recruitment offers a competitive salary of £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension, death in service benefit, and personal growth opportunities.
Qualifications and ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field. You should also possess experience in PLC programming, including Siemens S5 and Rockwell knowledge, as well as the ability to read advanced electrical drawings.
