Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Plant Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in Braintree, Essex. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of plant machinery and equipment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with experience working on engines and fault finding, repair, and service. A full UK driver's license is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Travel to client sites to perform maintenance and repairs of plant machinery and equipment
• Diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately £32,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, our client offers a range of benefits including 22 days annual leave, public holidays, and overtime pay at 1.5x the hourly rate. A minimum of 5 hours of overtime is available per week, with average availability being 15-20 hours.
