Pharmacy Technician Role in Offender Healthcare

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team at HMP Portland, working with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career in offender healthcare and make a positive impact on the lives of those in prison.
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be part of a comprehensive healthcare package, providing direct patient contact and supporting the delivery of pharmacy services. Your role will involve medicine management, dispensing medications, screening drug charts, and patient counseling.
The successful candidate will have a NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent, registration with GPhC as a pharmacy technician, and excellent organisational skills. Working towards Accredited Checking or MM Technician Certificate and some understanding of mental illness and substance misuse and their treatment are desirable.
