Job Summary:

STS Aviation Services is a rapidly growing company in the MRO industry, seeking experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics to join our team at our Manchester Hangar. If you're looking for a challenging role in a dynamic environment, we'd love to hear from you.

We're currently working on a major project to convert the largest passenger production airliner into a world-class air freighter in the B777 Passenger to Freighter project at Manchester. As a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you'll play a key role in this transformation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all aspects of major structural repair and modifications, including removal of major aircraft structural sections while stress-jacked.
  • Work to fine tolerances and high standards, upholding excellent housekeeping and adhering to company and manufacturer procedures.
  • Implement modifications from drawings and procedures, demonstrating expertise in aircraft modification and production environments.
Requirements:
  • Completed aircraft engineering apprenticeship, production, or live aircraft experience.
  • At least 5 years of live aircraft and structures experience, with demonstrable experience in aircraft modification/production environments.
  • Excellent hand skills, with the ability to read manufacturers' drawings and SRMs.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to take ownership and responsibility for tasks.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications and eligibility to work in the UK.
