About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Solicitor to join our dedicated Criminal Law team at a Tier 1 Legal 500 Firm. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional advocacy skills, be able to manage a diverse caseload, and be passionate about criminal defence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients at police stations, ensuring their rights are protected and their interests are represented.
  • Provide expert legal advice and representation in Magistrates' Courts and Crown Courts, handling a varied caseload of criminal matters.
  • Conduct thorough case research, gather evidence, and prepare legal documentation to support clients' cases.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients during trials, hearings, and bail applications, utilizing strong negotiation and communication skills.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified solicitor with a valid practicing certificate and accreditation as a Duty Solicitor.
  • Proven track record of managing complex criminal cases and delivering exceptional client service.
  • Strong advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and achieve the best possible outcomes.
