Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Study Coach to join our team at the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group. As a Study Coach, you will play a vital role in providing coaching and additional support to learners with a range of support needs, helping them to achieve their academic goals and develop essential skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one coaching and support to learners, developing strategies to promote learner achievement and engagement.
  • Liaise with teaching and non-teaching staff to encourage learner motivation and engagement in their chosen area of study.
  • Contribute to the development of learners' literacy, communication, numeracy, and study skills, as well as their independence and social awareness in various settings.
  • Hold a relevant qualification at Level 3 and have GCSE grade A*-C/9-4 in English and Maths or Level 2 equivalent as a minimum.
  • Have experience of providing support to 16-24 year olds with disabilities.

Requirements:

  • The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people at all levels, verbally and in writing.
  • The ability to manage and advocate on behalf of challenging behaviour.
  • Confidently offering a range of strategies to assist tutors in making specific reasonable adjustments to ensure the student can fully access all the learning available.
