Job Title: Waterfront Aquatic Coach

We are seeking a skilled aquatics coach to join our team at the YMCA of the East Bay in Oakland, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching individuals of all ages to become comfortable and safe in the water. Our organization provides comprehensive training programs to enhance instructors' knowledge and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach swimming lessons in shallow water
  • Deliver high-quality instruction to students of all ages
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices

Requirements:
  • Minimum age requirement: 16 years
  • CPR certification for Professional Rescuers (obtained within 90 days of hire)
  • Standard First Aid certification (obtained within 90 days of hire)
  • Demonstrated ability to swim in shallow water (YMCA Minnow or ARC Level 4 Swimming Level)

Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
