We're seeking a highly skilled advocate to join our team in Medway. As a leading provider of statutory and non-statutory advocacy services, we've been empowering individuals across the UK since 2016. Our team of over 20 dedicated advocates provides exceptional support, thanks to regular training and a blend of lived and professional experience.This is an exciting opportunity to grow with our organization, developing your advocacy skills in a supportive environment. You'll work closely with our team to deliver high-quality services in Medway and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Outcome-focused, issue-based, person-directed independent advocacy in line with relevant legislation and policies.
Effective caseload management, prioritizing work, and completing tasks such as visits, report writing, and professional meetings.
Liaising, communicating, and negotiating with various stakeholders, including people, organizations, and professionals.
Risk identification and mitigation, ensuring compliance with organizational procedures and safeguarding guidelines.
Understanding and implementing relevant legislation and organizational procedures related to safeguarding.
Prioritizing work to meet client and decision-maker needs.
Individual responsibility for health and safety, both personally and organizationally.
Representing clients' wishes, choices, and interests, while promoting equality, diversity, and individual rights.
Promoting self-advocacy to enhance confidence and independence.
Accurate data recording and reporting.
Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
The Skills We're Looking For:
Health and social care sector knowledge, relevant legislation, and advocacy experience.
Independent Advocacy Qualification L4 or willingness to pursue.
Delivering advocacy services, with a focus on outcomes.
Organization, motivation, and ability to meet deadlines.
Travel for work in Medway and Kent.
Self-motivation and remote work capabilities.
Interest in personal and professional growth.
Equality, diversity, and inclusion commitment.
Understand Independent Advocacy principles.
Desirable Experience:
Supporting people through complex meetings and processes.
Mental Health ward experience in hospital settings.
Collaboration with Social Care professionals.
NHS complaint procedure support.
Our Offer:
Regular working hours, Monday to Friday 9-5.
Remote work with travel to clients.
Competitive salary: £30,000 per annum plus workplace pension.
