About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join our team at Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital. As a Theatre Scrub Practitioner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our theatres, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality surgical services.
Key Responsibilities
Assist surgeons and anaesthetists during surgical procedures, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
Prepare and maintain the operating theatre environment, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are available and in good working order.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that patients receive the highest standard of care, from pre-operative preparation to post-operative recovery.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and families, providing exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest surgical techniques and best practices.
Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of surgical services.
Requirements
Registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC or HPC) and hold relevant qualifications and experience in theatre scrubbing.
Minimum 2 years' experience in orthopaedic theatre scrubbing, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
Desirable: Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) and experience in supervising and supporting junior members of the team.
