Exciting Opportunity for Mechanical Design Engineers

We are seeking highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineers to join our team at a leading defence organisation. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Armed Forces and working on complex weapons and weapons systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components for various defence projects
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project goals
  • Lead Mechanical Design work packages and contribute to project planning and execution
  • Apply robust design principles and experience across the Product Life Cycle (CADMID)
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and negotiate project requirements
Requirements:
  • Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Design
  • Experience in Mechanical Design and development in areas such as mechanisms, structures, assembly and integration, concept down selection and development
  • Ability to lead Mechanical Design work packages and work within a multi-disciplinary team
  • 3D CAD/CAE experience and understanding of structural/thermal/dynamic analysis
