Job Description

Rapier is seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team on a day shift basis. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for collecting goods from client locations, strapping loads down, and delivering to our business locations in the South East and South West of the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collecting goods from client locations
  • Strapping loads down
  • Delivering goods to our business locations
  • Operating a curtain-sided trailer
Requirements:
  • Held Class 1 licence for at least 1 year
  • Minimum of continuous driving for the past 6 months
  • Valid CPC
  • Valid Tacho Card
  • Maximum 6 points
Working Hours:
  • Monday to Friday: 4am to 4pm
  • Saturday: 4am to 4pm
  • Sunday/Bank holidays: 4am to 4pm
Pay Rates:
  • Monday to Friday: £15.93 per hour
  • Saturday: £23.90 per hour
  • Sunday/Bank holidays: £31.86 per hour
Induction and Training:

Rapier offers a comprehensive induction and training period, which is fully paid and lasts for a week. The induction includes a full driving assessment and online theory test covering driver hours, highway code, and driver hazard perception.
