Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transport Planner to join our team at CV-Library. The Transport Planner will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing transportation activities to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for resourcing and effectively forward planning all company resources, utilizing company and/or third-party resources when required.
  2. Ensure all focus is on day-to-day planning, working with the transport operator to provide updates on any changes.
  3. Communicate the full plan to subcontractors and drivers ensuring accurate and full information is included.
  4. Update planning sheets for drivers' licenses, and start/finish days for all traction subcontractors.
  5. Add revenue onto planning sheets.
  6. Monitor the planning process keeping an eye out for reloads, and upload own reloads onto Road Runner.
  7. Allocate the full plan onto Road Runner, to be supported by the Transport Administrator.
  8. Forward plan with Fleet ensuring that all trucks and trailers are planned in for maintenance and service as early as possible.
  9. Assist Transport Manager in driver training by planning allowances for drivers in the office when required.
  10. On call is required by Transport Planners and Transport Operators for their shifts, dealing with all inquiries and issues in their entirety and amending the plan accordingly.
