Senior Underwriter - Professional Indemnity Expert

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Underwriter to lead our Professional Indemnity team. As a key member of our commercial insurance team, you'll be responsible for underwriting a diverse portfolio of PI risks, developing strong relationships with brokers, and driving growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite a varied portfolio of Professional Indemnity risks, offering both Professional Combined and Corporate Combined cover.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers to drive growth and profitability.
  • Provide top-up Excess of Loss PI cover up to £10 million, tailoring policies to meet client-specific needs.
  • Assess and manage risk appetite in line with the company's guidelines and objectives.
  • Collaborate with other underwriting teams to maximize cross-sell opportunities and ensure high service levels.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in Professional Indemnity underwriting within the UK insurance market.
  • Strong technical knowledge of PI products, including Excess of Loss cover.
  • Proven ability to build and nurture broker relationships and generate new business.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills with a commercial mindset.
