Ilford, Greater London, United Kingdom Parker Smith Inclusion Full time
About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant to join our team in a specialist provision for children and young people with Autism and associated learning disabilities. The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting children who require additional help and be committed to creating a therapeutic and nurturing learning environment.

About the School

Our school is a specialist provision located in Redbridge, providing individualised and creative curriculum to students with Autism, Severe Learning Disabilities, and Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities. We work closely with local communities and are easily accessible via public transport or parking available on site.

About the Position

As a Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting children with their daily activities, managing behaviour in positive ways, and supporting them to learn. You will work closely with the teaching team to develop individualised plans and provide guidance on strategies to support children with Autism and associated learning disabilities.

About You

We welcome applicants who are positive, enthusiastic, and not afraid of challenges. You should be able to build trusting relationships with children and their families, understand their backgrounds, and have clear communication skills. Experience supporting children with Autism and additional needs is not essential but is desirable.

What We Offer

We offer a supportive and collaborative team environment, excellent ongoing CPD and training opportunities, and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of children with Autism and associated learning disabilities.
