Occupational Health Nurse Opportunity

Olive Branch Recruitment is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our client's team in Barrow-in-Furness. As an integral part of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide a compassionate and professional clinical service to employees on-site.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of experienced occupational health professionals, including Physiotherapists, Occupational Health Advisors, and Technicians, to provide a holistic package of care. Key responsibilities include assessing and managing minor injury and illness, delivering health and wellbeing initiatives, and working with external organisations and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing a full occupational health treatment service, including wellbeing assessments, health promotion, advice and education, health surveillance, safety critical medicals, travel health, travel assessments, vaccinations, and D&A testing.
  • Providing professional advice, support, and guidance to employees on-site.
  • Assessing new clients presenting to Occupational Health.
  • Assessing individuals' fitness to work for the appropriate job role.
  • Providing clinical assessment of clients presenting with minor illness and injury.
  • Supporting the OH Manager to advise, monitor, and assess the clinical practice of the OH team.
  • Providing health surveillance.
  • Ensuring clinical assessment skills are maintained in line with best practice.

Requirements:
  • Experience working within A&E or intensive care.
  • Excellent knowledge of occupational health and employment legislation.
  • Previous Occupational Health experience is preferable.
  • Registered Nurse (Part 1).
