Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a heavy, high-volume production site in Bilston, near Wolverhampton. Our client is a well-established company in the industry, producing big brand products for leading retailers such as Screwfix, B&Q, and Wickes.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Siemens S7 and experience working in a heavy engineering environment. They will be responsible for performing multi-skilled maintenance tasks, including plant maintenance, hydraulics, and pneumatics. The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of production equipment
  • Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize production
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to ensure safe working practices
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Recognized engineering qualifications
  • Strong understanding of Siemens S7 and experience working in a heavy engineering environment
  • Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
