About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Surveyor to join our team at Bruton Knowles. As a Senior Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering Compensation and Compulsory Purchase work to our clients in the transportation and utility sectors.

Main Responsibilities
  • Fee Earning and Client Management: Maximise fee income and develop client relationships to drive business growth.
  • Project Delivery: Ensure successful delivery of major and minor projects to a wide range of clients across the transportation and utility sectors.
  • Business Development: Develop new business opportunities and expand existing client relationships.
  • Team Management: Manage and motivate a team of project surveyors and referencers to achieve business objectives.
  • Procurement and Negotiation: Procure new work instructions and negotiate compensation in accordance with client instructions.
  • Performance Management: Manage own performance and that of the team to deliver agreed budgets and targets.
Person Specification

We are looking for a self-starter with good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the transportation and utility sectors and be able to work in an organised and methodical fashion.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A formal qualification to degree level accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in an organised and methodical fashion with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
  • A willingness to learn new skills and working methods and be adaptable to change.
  • A proactive approach to work and a willingness to undertake business development.
