Key Performance Indicators

  • Coordinate the catering unit's daily operations, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Meet and greet customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Monitor and maintain high-quality food and service standards, providing feedback to the chefs and service team as needed.
  • Manage stock levels, order supplies, and assist in any area of the catering unit as required.
  • Develop and maintain a positive team atmosphere and customer environment.

Relationship Management and Customer Service

You will act as the first point of reference for all customer comments and concerns, taking necessary action and responding to customer complaints. You will also actively gain customer feedback to improve the food and service offering.

Financial Management

You will work with the Catering Manager to ensure the catering unit achieves financial targets, understanding and interpreting relevant financial control systems. You will prepare reports outlining staff control, food control, and sales at the end of each week.

Team Management and Development

You will organize and supervise the shifts of the Front of House team, ensuring all staff carry out tasks in accordance with company health, hygiene, quality, and safety standards. You will provide induction, initial skills, and on-the-job training for all Front of House staff, ensuring the service is delivered in line with client expectations and CH&CO standards.

Sales and Marketing

You will work with the Catering Manager to maximize sales at the unit, using effective up-selling and marketing promotions. You will represent the relevant site at meetings within CH&CO, promoting the unit's services and offerings.

Health and Safety

You will ensure that all employees adhere to uniform standards, report any equipment and/or building fabric faults, and address any hygiene, health, and safety hazards. You will also keep up to date with COSHH and HACCP procedures and methods.

Personal Development and Occasional Responsibilities

You will take responsibility for your personal development, seeking opportunities to expand your knowledge of industry trends in food and food service, leadership, and management practices. You will attend training courses and CH&CO meetings as necessary.
