About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our client's team on a full-time hybrid basis in the Great Yarmouth area. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural analysis and design calculations, conducting condition surveys, and managing projects from initial client enquiry to project completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of structural analysis and design calculations and reports for complex structures in steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry.
  • Conducting structural condition surveys, generating reports, and developing remedial work schemes.
  • Project management of own projects, and managing more junior staff to meet project requirements from initial client enquiry and fee proposal preparation stage through to preliminary design, detailed design, drawing and specification preparation, delivery, and project completion.
  • Business management-related duties, such as Quality Management System (QMS) compliance, auditing, etc.
Requirements
  • Professional member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) to Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) level.
  • 3-5 years of structural engineering design and consultancy experience.
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.
  • Offshore structural design experience preferred but not essential.
  • Roads and drainage design experience would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work well as a part of a wider team, as well as, individually.
  • Passionate about their work and the desire to build a long-term career.
  • A full UK driving licence with access to own transport.
