Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Specialist to join our team in Telford. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing the setup and installation of robots, ensuring all equipment is in working order, and promoting good communication within the robotic department.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Robot Installation and Commissioning: Set up and install robots from single units to multiple robot cells.
  2. Program Development and Implementation: Develop and implement robot programs using native programming languages.
  3. IO Configuration and Programming: Configure robot IO, weld interface, and program calls.
  4. Robot Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner, troubleshoot robotic problems, and maintain industrial robotic systems.
  5. Training and Support: Provide robotic support and training as required, develop and control program structure, and work closely with the Robot Supervisor regarding projects, monitoring workload and deadlines.
About You:
  • Qualifications: Qualified to a minimum HNC level or equivalent in Manufacturing/ Electrical/ Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in programming robots, with hands-on experience programming ABB/Kuka/Fanuc robots.
  • Skills: Good understanding of IO, transfer of information between Robot and PLC, and PLC Functionality, knowledge of ISO (phone number removed) and ISO (phone number removed) robotic safety standards, experience in robotic spot welding, mig welding, material handling, practical experience and good understanding of electrical circuitry and wiring, sound mechanical ability to work on robot dress packages and peripheral equipment.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
Estimated Salary:

£55,000 per annum.
