Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Welding Craftsman to join our team as a Fabrication Welder in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality welds on large-scale naval projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform high-quality welding operations using MIG, FCAW and MCAW consumables

- Work to engineering standards, striving for quality right first time

Requirements

- Trade papers, e.g. Formal Apprenticeship

- Ceramic tile welding experience

- Knowledge and experience in welding and use of associated equipment

- Capable of all positional welding

- Flux core experience (FCAW)

- Understanding of manufacturing processes

- Deposit welds that pass both visual and non-destructive examination

- Materials experience of welding carbon steel thickness 4-10mm range

- Clear understanding of SHE, COSHH risks awareness

- Welding with MCAW consumables

- Welding aluminium with MIG process

- Welding with automated equipment
