We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Hardware Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and verifying cutting-edge hardware platforms that meet our customers' needs.

In this role, you will take ownership of ensuring the correct electronics design and development process and procedures are in place to deliver high-quality design outputs from the design team. You will also engage with customers to capture their requirements and specifications and lead a multidisciplinary project team to design and develop solutions that meet our customers' goals.

To be successful in this role, you will require excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. You will also need to be eager to learn, adapt, and tackle new challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop digital and analogue PCB circuits using Altium.
  • Develop high-speed digital PCB circuits, including FPGAs, SoCs, ADCs, and DACs.
  • Design power supplies.
  • Model systems and circuits using SPICE and Python.
  • Lead and support multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Design and test for EMC and environmental compliance.
  • Have high-volume manufacturing experience.
  • Model and automate systems using SPICE, Matlab, and Python.
  • Design and test for compliance testing.
  • Plan and report on projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements and apply new knowledge to enhance product development processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • 10 years of proven experience in electronics engineering.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, including reviews, planning, and retrospectives.
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and tackle new challenges.

Bonus Skills:

  • Mechanical design with 3D CAD.
  • Software and firmware development in support of testing or interfacing to electronics (e.g., Python, C/C++, VHDL, Linux).
  • RF design.
