Maths Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Maths teacher to join our team at a small alternative provision in Hornchurch. The school caters to secondary-aged students who have experienced challenging backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver engaging Maths lessons to students in a supportive SEMH environment
  • Evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support as needed
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere that caters to individual student needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support students' academic and personal growth
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other school-related activities
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in Mathematics or a related field
  • Experience working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Essential Skills:
  • Strong understanding of the Maths curriculum and teaching methods
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective classroom management techniques
Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a Secondary SEMH setting in Hornchurch, Greater London. Full-time hours are expected, following the school's academic calendar.

Salary is dependent on experience.
