About the Role:
Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment is working with a leading firm in the North West, seeking a highly experienced Solicitor/Legal Director to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Housing Disrepair matters, with experience in both pre-litigated and litigated cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the firm's Housing Disrepair practice, providing expert advice and guidance to clients.
- Manage a team of solicitors, providing mentorship and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand the firm's Housing Disrepair practice, identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with key stakeholders.
- Act as the firm's COLP (Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration) and COFA (Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining the firm's reputation for excellence.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Housing Disrepair matters, with a strong track record of success in both pre-litigated and litigated cases.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team of solicitors, with a focus on delivering high-quality services and achieving business objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Strong business development skills, with the ability to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the firm's Housing Disrepair practice.
