Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team at the University System of New Hampshire. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations and finance support services, ensuring compliance with System policies and regulations, and providing expert guidance to department personnel.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with experience in accounting and financial reporting. You will be responsible for interpreting and analyzing financial data, developing special reports and analyses, and providing recommendations to System leadership.

This is a remote position, and you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality financial services to our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee accounting operations and finance support services
  • Ensure compliance with System policies and regulations
  • Provide expert guidance to department personnel
  • Interpret and analyze financial data
  • Develop special reports and analyses
  • Provide recommendations to System leadership
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 7-10 years of experience in financial management
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field and/or relevant credentials
  • Demonstrated expertise in accounting and financial reporting
  • Understanding of and proficiency in navigating computerized financial systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant field and/or relevant credentials
  • Experience with change management and/or recent organizational redesigns
  • Experience operating or leading in a shared service setting
  • Experience working for a higher education and/or tax-exempt organization
