Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fitter to join our team at CV Library. As a Senior Fitter - VFFS Machines, you will play a key role in assembling VFFS machines and completing packaging systems tailored to customer specifications.

You will collaborate closely with other engineers, offering guidance and support on the shop floor. A shared laptop integrated with your Teams system will be provided for seamless communication and support.

The ideal candidate will have a BTEC in Mechanical Engineering (electrical experience is an advantage but not essential) or an HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering. Proficient knowledge of pneumatic systems is also required.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Mechanical fitting and assembly of VFFS packaging machines.
  2. Collaborating with the Factory Manager to ensure production schedules are met.
  3. Completing engineering time sheets to assist with performance data collection.
  4. Assisting the Service Manager with machine commissioning.
  5. Troubleshooting and problem-solving during the build process to ensure optimal outcomes.

Requirements:

  • BTEC in Mechanical Engineering (electrical experience is an advantage but not essential).
  • HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficient knowledge of pneumatic systems.
