Job Overview

Career Makers is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our dynamic team as a Flatbed Operations Specialist. This role involves safely operating a flatbed trailer, conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to various destinations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a flatbed trailer for trunking work only
  • No handballing involved
  • Strapping work is a must
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle conditions, and any incidents
  • Adhere to all driving regulations, company policies, and health & safety standards
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving license
  • Digital Tachograph card Required
  • CPC Driver Qualification card
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Class 1 Driver due to insurance purposes
  • Tramping up to 5 nights a week
  • Steel work experience due to nature of the job
  • Flat bed experience
  • Strong knowledge of UK road networks and driving regulations
  • A professional attitude with excellent time-management skills
  • No more than 6 points due to insurance purposes
