As part of the Adoption West team, you will work closely with social workers, foster carers, and other professionals to provide support and guidance to help children thrive in their foster placements.

Estimated Salary: £37,336 - £39,186 per annum pro rata

Working Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Temporary/Fixed Term: Maternity cover, 6-12 months

About the Role:

This role requires a high level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and understanding of the needs of children and families. You will work independently, using your initiative to identify and respond to the needs of foster carers, children, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide regular support and supervision to foster carers, including home visits, phone calls, and email updates
  • To work closely with social workers to ensure that children's needs are met and their placement plans are progressed
  • To develop and implement strategies to improve outcomes for children and young people in care
  • To maintain accurate records and reports, as required by management

Requirements:

This role requires a strong background in social work or a related field, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
