About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the progress of primary school pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the teacher in delivering lessons and activities to primary school aged children
  • Work one-to-one with children who have SEND, providing individualized support and guidance
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure consistent support and communication

Requirements

  • Experience working with primary school aged children, particularly those with SEND
  • Ability to work one-to-one with children and provide individualized support
  • Passion for the progress and well-being of primary school pupils
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
