Software Developer for NDE

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team at Adaptix Limited, a company transforming radiology through innovative technology. About the Role

This is a permanent full-time role based in Oxfordshire. The role will be primarily based at our Commercial/NDE offices in Eynsham, and you will also work in our R&D offices in Begbroke Science Park. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform the full range of collaborative software development activities according to industry best practices, including specification, design, coding, reviewing, and testing.
  • Contribute to the development of efficient software processes and standards compliant with IEC 62304.
  • Develop and test user interface, control, and monitoring software.
  • Develop and test software from the prototype stage to deployment at customer sites.
  • Develop and test image processing and reconstruction algorithms in C++ and Python.
  • Actively participate in, and contribute to, discussions around software architecture, providing insights and innovative ideas.
  • Contribute to the specification of software items and translate these to workable tasks/user stories.
  • Find and utilise the right technologies and libraries, manage the risk of adopting them.
  • Ability to write clean Modern C++ code.
  • Ability to achieve project delivery deadlines in an agile environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant programming languages, libraries, and development environments (C++, Python, Qt, C#, Azure DevOps).
  • Software development and testing applied to scientific/technical problems.
Requirements

As our ideal candidate, you have a minimum qualification of an undergraduate degree in engineering or science-based discipline. We would welcome applications from people who are accustomed to working in open agile environments, have confidence to make design decisions, take ownership of the execution of their work, and show a collaborative approach to development.
