Job Description

We are seeking a Graduate M&E Engineer to assist with day-to-day activities on various major UK infrastructure projects. As part of our 3-year graduate development programme, you will work under the supervision of Section/Project Managers and collaborate with the site team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to achieving Health and Safety standards in accordance with company policy and ensure quality on our projects.
  • Review M&E design by third parties to ensure compliance with UK and specific client Standards.
  • Collect requirements from clients and ensure they are included in the design being delivered.
  • Provide buildability advice and solutions to clients' problems while defining the scope that requires delivery.
  • Support the team in tendering packages of works to 3rd party designers and suppliers.
  • Assist in coordinating team activities to ensure project completion within budget and on time.
  • Ensure project compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Assist Project Managers in managing the team, providing advice on resourcing levels, performance management, employee development, and motivation.
Salary and Benefits

We offer an estimated salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. The role also comes with a comprehensive benefits package, including training and development opportunities, mobility options, and charity volunteering initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at various levels.
  • Strong written and oral English language skills.
  • A degree or Master's in Engineering (all disciplines considered).
  • Motivation to learn and add value to the team, the role, and the Graduate programme.
  • An analytical thinker who enjoys problem-solving.
  • A proven team player who can effectively work with others.
  • The ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to working and learning.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of the industry.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft packages.
