Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled 2nd Officer SDPO to assist with the safe navigation and operation of a cable laying vessel. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the Dynamic Positioning (DP) system to maintain the vessel's position and heading, monitoring DP system performance, and troubleshooting any malfunctions or anomalies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the DP system to ensure accurate and stable vessel positioning.
  • Monitor navigational equipment and ensure compliance with navigational rules and regulations.
  • Plan and execute navigational routes as required.
  • Adjust vessel positioning as required to support precise cable laying operations.
Requirements
  • Previous working experience in a cable laying vessel.
  • DP Offshore Unlimited Operator certification.
  • Relevant offshore certificates.
  • GWO Sea Survival certificate.
