About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Information Security Advisor to join our team at Barclays Bank. As a key member of our security leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping our digital landscape and driving innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of secure systems and architecture across a broad set of security domains, including data security, security risk management, asset security, and more.
  • Execute security risk assessments and build threat models during the change and development lifecycle to identify vulnerabilities and ensure timely communication of key findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Enable DevSecOps by providing engagement channels for customers and stakeholders who wish to engage early and seeking security advice and input into their business plans and opportunities.
  • Support and guide CISO, CIO, and Product Team functions by providing security reviews for prospective 3rd party technology products and services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams to support incident response and investigations using knowledge of the bank's technology systems and sharing security insights.
Vice President Expectations
  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business.
