Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a group within the System Engineering team to deliver risk analysis and technical leadership of products developed by Blatchford.
  • Ensure product design follows relevant standards (ISO-13485, ISO).
  • Contribute to quality improvement processes, including leading CAPAs, participating in Change Management activities, and updating QMS procedures.
  • Assign objectives to team members and review their performances regularly.
  • Review and approve technical documentation.
  • Contribute to Design Reviews for active projects and ensure technical leadership is effective.
  • Effectively communicate status to management and interact with peers to optimize activities.
  • Manage allocated budget.
Requirements
  • MSc in Mechanical, Electronic, or Software Engineering (BSc/BEng) with a proven track record applying System Engineering principles.
  • BSc/BEng in Materials or Science related discipline.
  • Extensive Systems Engineering design experience, ideally within the medical device industry or other regulated industry.
  • Experience leading teams and driving activities to completion.
  • Proven experience in devolving a system requirement to a set of subsystem requirements described by architectural diagrams and interface descriptions.
  • Experience supporting systems engineering investigations.
  • Experience with MDD/MDR.
  • Experience applying ISO-13485 and ISO-14971.
  • Naturally inquisitive problem solver.
  • Team player with a positive, "can do" attitude.
  • Familiarity with requirements and verification management tools such as DOORS or JAMA.
