Mail Distribution Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Mail Distribution Specialist in Stornoway, Isle Of Lewis.

• Hourly Rate: £16.58 per hour
• Location: Stornoway, Isle Of Lewis
• Shift Pattern: Monday - Saturday, 09:00 – 16:24

In this role, you will be responsible for sorting and delivering post/parcels to customers, using a hand-held device to streamline your workflow and ensure efficient delivery routes. The role requires excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as strong communication and customer service abilities.

• Sort and deliver post/parcels to customers
• Use a hand-held device to navigate the delivery route and capture customer signatures
• Walk at least 8 miles per day and carry a post bag
• Drive and deliver on foot, pushing/pulling a post trolley during deliveries

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A valid UK driving license with no more than 6 points (a clean license is preferred)
• Previous delivery or driving experience is desirable but not essential
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• A commitment to safe and responsible driving practices
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Flexibility to work 5 days out of 7, including potential weekend shifts
