We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Captain to join our team at City Cruises UK. As a Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe navigation of our vessels along the River Thames, providing an exceptional experience for our passengers, and leading a team of crew members.

• Ensure the vessel meets Company standards in terms of safety, adhering to SMS regulations and maintaining all necessary documentation.
• Facilitate onboard safety training for all crew members and conduct daily vessel log checks in conjunction with SMS procedures.
• Provide a vessel safety announcement after leaving each pier and conduct a safety crew briefing every morning.
• Account for and safely embark and disembark passengers from recognized locations along the River Thames.
• Check the vessel's fuel level and ensure an adequate supply of fresh clear running water onboard for passengers.
• Ensure the vessel is clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times, complying with Company SMS and London Port Health regulations.
• Provide passengers with a commentary through the City Cruises' sightseeing journey and give them a magical experience along the River Thames.
• Manage all crew on your vessel are well-presented and groomed in Company uniform at all times when representing City Cruises' and serving to the public.
• Be an Ambassador for our RESPECT Service System & Values.

• Tier 1 & 2 Boat Masters license
• Local knowledge endorsement
• Passenger Vessel Certificate
• Large Passenger Vessel endorsement license (only applicable to LPV Captains)
• Experience operating as Captain of large passenger vessels
• Knowledge of vessel maintenance and vessel engineering

• Full understanding of Health & Safety afloat and ashore and implementation of Safety Management System, preferably to ISM standard
• Knowledge and understanding of managing rota's
• Experience working within the hospitality industry
• Experience of managing a team and developing their careers
