About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-focused individual to join our Planning Team as a Local Land Charges and Planning Technical Officer. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Rugby Borough.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and provide accurate and timely local land charges searches for the borough
  • Maintain and update relevant registers, providing statistical reports to ensure efficient and effective land charges function
  • Transfer and maintain data onto the HM Land Registry Portal, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
  • Collect, prepare, and submit data for performance monitoring purposes, assisting in responding to Freedom of Information and Environmental Information Regulation requests
  • Support the Planning Technical team with their duties, including registering, checking, validating, and consulting applications, as well as uploading relevant documents and plans onto the Council's website
  • Lead in the administration of planning and enforcement appeals procedures
Requirements
  • High level of administrative experience with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Working knowledge of the UK planning process, with previous experience or general knowledge of Land Charges desirable
