Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Digital Intelligence COO Data team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, availability, and use of trusted data assets to support business decisions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and enhancing the data governance framework within the business, including definition and refinement of processes, controls, and reports. They will also identify opportunities to improve the quality of data across the data lifecycle, work with Data Owners and Stewards to ensure clear RACI matrices, and support Data Governance Activities such as Data Maturity Assessment and Master Data Management.

Requirements
  • A proven data governance or data management background and experience working in the data domain.
  • Sound generic, domain, and specialist knowledge necessary to perform effectively in the organisation, typically gained from recognised bodies of knowledge and organisational information.
  • Effective application and ability to impart knowledge found in industry bodies of knowledge, absorbing new information and applying it effectively.
