The Vacancy

The post holder will support residents across Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland to achieve employment through a tailored employment journey, providing access to a range of activities and resources.

They will do this by promoting employability and reducing barriers to employment, building confidence and motivation to look for work and progress with basic skills.

Key responsibilities include:

Main Responsibilities

Prepare, maintain and organise learning resources and equipment.

Set up the learning environment and undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks.

Support the employability team to deliver high-quality learning programmes.

Undertake administration and project duties, engaging with local communities and promoting employability.

Standard Responsibilities for all positions in NCG

  • Participate in staff review and performance management processes to identify and meet training needs.
  • Ensure the health and safety of self and others.
  • Pursue equal opportunities throughout all activities.
  • Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as required.
  • Comply with NCG policies and procedures.
