Key Responsibilities- Design and develop innovative products for energy markets, including floating offshore wind.
- Develop new products, improve existing designs, and modify them to meet specific project requirements.
- Perform calculations to support and verify design work, including Finite Element Analysis.
- Participate in project design reviews and failure mode effect and criticality analysis.
- Report writing, creating and managing 3D models and technical drawings.
- Check and approve the output of other design engineers.
- Prepare project-specific documents for presentation to clients, authorities, and third parties.
- Meet with clients and users to determine their requirements.
- Presentation of design solutions to interested parties.
- Preparation of draft purchase orders.
- Oversee testing and report conclusions.
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum three years' experience in a similar position.
- Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- 3D CAD knowledge, preferably SolidWorks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
- Flexibility and adaptability to ensure tasks are prioritized appropriately.
- Honesty, reliability, and discretion, as working with confidential information.
- Experience working with and overseeing suppliers.
- Experience working in or designing for the offshore industry.
