Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Floor Staff Member at the Roe Park Resort. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests in the hotel bar area.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt and courteous service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Accurately record and serve beverage orders, ensuring proper garnishing and presentation.
  • Process guest checks accurately and maintain a thorough knowledge of the bar menu, wine, and beer list.
  • Promote additional sales by taking opportunities to up-sell in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are stocked and organized.
  • Confers with the C&E Operations Manager/Assistant Bar Manager concerning set-ups and reservations.
  • Knows how to handle intoxicated individuals and get assistance if required.
  • Ensures all discrepancies in own cash are declared to the C&E Operations Manager and Financial Controller.
  • Assists with set-ups/breakdowns of all function rooms.
  • Maintains high confidentiality regarding guest privacy.
  • Notifies the C&E Operations Manager and Executive Housekeeper regarding lost and found objects.
  • Reports all potential and actual hazards appropriately.

Requirements:

  • Must have a friendly and open disposition.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with an outgoing personality.
  • Confident, patient, friendly, sociable, and reliable.
  • Has a positive approach to directions – giving and taking.
  • Has ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative.
  • Can prioritize duties.
  • Able to stand/walk for long periods.
  • Must be able to recall drink orders.
  • Must be able to travel to work.
  • Flexibility with working hours and available to work days/evenings & weekend shifts Monday – Sunday as required.
  • Neat & Tidy Appearance.
