Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Category Manager to join our team at Shared Services Connected Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing procurement support to clients and handling tender activity for the healthcare category.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost optimization and savings targets.
- Review, negotiate, and draft contracts with suppliers to ensure effective management of the vendor base.
- Build and maintain key supplier relationships to explore new business opportunities.
- Work with clients to develop constructive relationships with operational contract managers and provide support for effective delivery of outcomes.
- Provide procurement support to clients and handle tender activity for the healthcare category.
Requirements:
- Experience of PCR 2015, EU/UK regulations, and company policies.
- Experience of working in procurement, commissioning, bid writing, or contract management within the NHS/Healthcare Sector/Public Sector.
- Knowledge and skill in procurement process, including scoping, briefing, tendering, selection, contract negotiation, and management of supplier.
- Validated analytic skills, including analysis of information, interpreting, and communicating findings.
Desirable:
- Working experience gained within the health sector and understanding of health contracts.
- CIPS level 4, working towards or willingness to achieve.
- Knowledge of Procurement ERP systems and eSourcing tools.
