Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team in South West London. As a Lead Mental Health Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing evidence-based psychological therapies for individuals with severe and enduring mental health conditions.

The successful candidate will have a doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology and be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council under the appropriate domain specific title. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.

About the Role
  • To provide high-quality psychological assessments and interventions for clients across various care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and in-patient settings.
  • To develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account the client's unique needs, goals, and circumstances.
  • To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, CPNs, recovery & support workers, and specialist employment advisors, to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of service policies, procedures, and guidelines related to mental health services.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with a wide range of client groups, including those with complex mental health needs, such as psychosis, bipolar disorder, personality disorder, and substance misuse. They will also have knowledge of research methodology, staff training, and other fields of applied psychology.

Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology as accredited by the BPS, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and lifespan developmental psychology.
  • Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council under the appropriate domain specific title.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Experience working with diverse client populations, including those with complex mental health needs.

We offer a competitive salary package, including a salary range of £59,490 to £66,239 per annum, inclusive of outer London HCAS. We also offer flexible working arrangements, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive work environment.
