Job Description: Supporting Vulnerable Students - Psychology Placement Position

The Post-16 College in Ealing invites applications for a Psychology Placement position, focusing on supporting vulnerable students with severe SEND/SEMH needs. As a dedicated and compassionate individual, you will work closely with students, families, and staff to provide tailored support and ensure the best possible outcomes.

In this critical role, you will contribute to the development of Behaviour Management strategies, collaborate with healthcare professionals and specialists, and participate in social and vocational programmes. Your passion for and knowledge of SEND/SEMH needs will enable you to make a tangible difference in the lives of our students.

As a Psychology Placement, you will be an integral part of this team, working together to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to students with severe SEND/SEMH needs
  • Develop and implement effective Behaviour Management strategies
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and specialists to deliver comprehensive support
  • Participate in social and vocational programmes to enhance students' life skills

Requirements:

  • Graduate with strong academics across the board (psychology graduates preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of SEND/SEMH needs and ability to apply this in practice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
