About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Tutor to join our team at Care First - Reeves Street, part of Outcomes First Group. As a SEN Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs, providing a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters their growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a range of subjects as necessary and ensure the effective delivery of the alternative education curriculum.
  • Work in consultation with the SLT to undertake other identified areas of responsibility as needed to ensure effective delivery of the Alternative education curriculum.
  • Support the development of learning styles and appropriate teaching approaches, behaviour management, classroom strategies, resources, and whole Alternative Further Education policies for young adults with complex needs.
  • Contribute to the wider Services enrichment and Personal, Social Education Programme through activities, tutorials, and group sessions.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training (formerly PTILLS)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (formerly DTLLS)
  • 4 or 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English and math's 2 to 3 A levels, or equivalent
  • Degree in a relevant subject for postgraduate study
