About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Lead to join our team in Canterbury, Kent. This is a permanent opportunity that will see you lead and manage the design process for our mechanical products.

**Job Summary**
The Senior Mechanical Design Lead will be responsible for leading the design process, ensuring all designs meet the required quality standards, and collaborating with manufacturing providers to ensure smooth production. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical engineering, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in 3D CAD software such as Creo.

**Key Responsibilities**
* Leading the design process for mechanical products
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery
* Ensuring all designs meet quality standards
* Liaising with manufacturing providers to resolve any design or production issues

Requirements
* HNC/HND/ Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
* At least 7 years' experience in a similar Design Engineering role
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
* Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Creo advantageous)
* Excellent communication and organisational skills

About You
* You will have a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and be able to apply this knowledge to real-world problems
* You will be an effective communicator, able to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals
* You will have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to think critically

Salary and Benefits
This is a permanent opportunity with a salary range of £50,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience. We also offer a competitive benefits package including pension scheme, life insurance, and annual leave.
